Community Cohesion

Premier League Kicks

Premier League Kicks is a national programme funded by the premier League. Kicks programmes across the country work with young people and families living in communities considered to be more vulnerable to crime either as victims or potential offenders. We use football, multi sports activities and the power of professional football clubs to engage with local communities.  A key objective is to break down barriers between police and young people and reduce crime and anti-social behaviour in the targeted areas. Working in partnership with other local community projects and South Yorkshire Police enables us to identify Anti-Social Behaviour (ABS) hotspots within these communities.

Kicks also offers pathways into:

Regular competitive football matches and tournaments with other Professional Football Clubs throughout the country, Workshops and qualifications for young people and volunteers to upskill themselves making them more employable, Volunteering opportunities & Employment opportunities

Knife crime Prevention

Our project will be focused on addressing the main reasons behind why children and young people in Sheffield carry knives, those being the acquisition of status and fear of crime or being bullied.
