Mark Todd - Head of Community

Mark, a former Blades midfielder and Head of Community has 15 years experience managing and developing community programmes. He has been associated with the football club for 25 years and strongly believes that by giving the community an opportunity to connect with the football club they can either become a supporter for life and/or develop themselves to realise their full potential.

Patrick Piearcey – Business Development Officer

Patrick, who joined us with an extensive business background, is an experienced and qualified coach who has worked with a wide range of age groups in local grass roots junior and adult football and also in the USA. Patrick is responsible for delivering ongoing business development for the Foundation.

Keith Ward - Social Inclusion Officer

Keith joined the United Initiative back in 2008. From the Sharrow area Keith has been a regular at Bramall Lane since a young age. He has worked in the local community since the age of 15, coming through the ranks of local partner Football Unites, Racism Divides. He is a fully qualified football coach and can deliver coaching sessions in various other sports. Through his role as Social Inclusion Officer he has been able to gain valuable experience in working with hard to reach/disadvantaged communities.

Chris Bailey – Education Officer

Chris, who joined us in 2011, is an experienced, qualified lecturer and assessor in Sports Education and has worked in a variety of Secondary and Further education settings. Chris is responsible for the coordination, management and delivery of our education development and quality assurance.

Shereen Hutton – National Citizen Service (NCS) Local Coordinator

Shereen, who recently graduated from Sheffield Hallam University studying Sports Development and Coaching, joined the team as lead of NCS at the start of 2013. Shereen previously worked with us on the NCS 2012 programme as a Team Leader and is now responsible for planning and delivering the 2014 summer and autumn NCS programme.

  Rebecca Fairfax - NCS Assistant Coordinator

Rebecca studied at Bellevue University on a soccer scholarship and graduated in 2014 with a degree in Communication Arts and a minor in Business Administration. She joined the team August 2014 to assist and coordinate our NCS programme.

Reece Littlejohn - Community Coach

Reece has been with the community team since 2008 and he graduated from the apprentice scheme in 2010. He is now a qualified coach who not only leads on our Curriculum and after schools programmes but also delivers on our Disability projects. An accomplished footballer with non league experience.

Rob Jenkinson – Community Coach

Rob joined us as an apprentice in September 2010 and is now a full time coach. He leads a wide variety of coaching sessions every week, including in school PE sessions and after school football sessions. He also runs the Football League Trusts Annual Community Cup competitions for the children u11's and girls u13's. He is also responsible for making sure that any data that comes in from our sessions is uploaded to the Project Reporting System that is also used by the Football League Trust.

  James Whydle - Community Health Coach

James Started volunteering for the Foundation in April 2012 and became a full time member of staff in September 2013. He is responsible for running our health programmes across Sheffield such as the Kinder + Sport Moving Project and the Whole School Approach programme.

Kieran Wake - Assistant Education Officer

Kieran joined us in the summer of 2013 working on the NCS programme as a Team leader. Kieran is a fully qualified Teacher and has experience of working within a College setting in a variety of roles. As a result Kieran has progressed onto Assistant Education Officer here at the Community Foundation. Kieran will be using knowledge gained from completing a Sports and Exercise Science degree to educate our Education and Futsal scholars.

Vicki Wilson - Administrative Assistant

Vicki joined the Community Foundation in November 2013 as the Foundation’s Administrative Assistant providing secretarial support to the Foundation and the 5 strands within, particularly the NCS project. The opportunity opened up and Vicki was invited to apply for the position after supporting the SUFC Kicks project and the community for the past 5 years. Whilst having a level 2 gym instructor qualification, Vicki plays roller derby for the Sheffield Steel Rollergirls A team the ‘All Stars’!

Rachel Charles - Premier League Programme Coordinator

Rachel recently joined the Foundation in autumn 2013 after graduating from the University of Birmingham, where she studied Sport, Physical Education and Coaching Science. She began working on our NCS programme and then joined the team as the ‘Premier League Programme Coordinator’. This role was created after receiving funding from the Premier League to increase participation of 14-25 year olds in Badminton, Basketball, Volleyball, Judo and Girls Football. In her spare time, Rachel enjoys playing for Sheffield FC Ladies, frequently featuring on the score sheet.

Matthew Moorwood - Education Tutor

Matt joined the team at the start of the academic year of 2013, working as an Education Tutor. Matt is a fully qualified secondary school PE Teacher and has transferred his skills and knowledge to teaching in further education. Prior to working at the Community Foundation Matt has experienced work in a variety of secondary schools across Yorkshire and Merseyside.

  Matthew Edwards - Education Tutor

Matthew joined the team on a full time basis in September 2014 after completing his PGCE at Sheffield Hallam University in July of the same year. Matthew has worked with the Foundation's education team on a part time basis over the past two years through our partnership with Norton College and has experience in delivering across various levels of sport qualifications as a result of this. Matthews role as Education Tutor is to deliver the Level 2 and Level 3 Futsal scholarships.

Katie Glossop - Sport Participation Officer

Katie joined the team in 2012 as the Girls & Women's coach for her first full time role after leaving University. She left after a successful year to complete a PGCE at Sheffield Hallam University. In June 2014, she returned to her new post as Sport Participation Officer where her role as strand leader is to motivate and inspire individuals across Sheffield regardless of background to achieve their potential.
