NCS Team Leader – Summer 2022

Sheffield United Community Foundation are seeking to employ several enthusiastic, charismatic and dedicated individuals to deliver our successful NCS programme. All of our community programmes are aimed at strengthening self-esteem, developing personal skills, promoting healthy behaviours and lifestyles, and in doing so improve academic achievement, enhance employability and increase the feeling of self-worth and wellbeing.

Team Leaders are responsible for the management of an NCS team consisting of up to 16 young people aged 15-17. There will be two Team Leaders per team and Team Leaders should be driven, passionate and have the ability to coach, motivate, lead and support a group of young people.

High Level Summary:

Term: Seasonal – July and August programmes with additional training dates TBC.



Per 2-week programme – £988.00*

All training & DBS are included and will be provided by SUCF 

*(National Minimum Wage age dependent) 


Start Dates:

Wave 1 – 2 weeks (1st week is Monday to Friday residential) – 11th July to 22nd July

Wave 2 – 2 weeks (1st week is Monday to Friday residential) – 18th July to 29th July

Wave 3 – 2 weeks (1st week is Monday to Friday residential) – 1st Aug to 12th Aug

Wave 4 – 2 weeks (1st week is Monday to Friday residential) – 8th Aug to 19th Aug

About the role:

NCS is a government funded programme which aims to bring 15-17-year-olds together from different backgrounds, embarking on a journey that builds life skills for work and life whilst taking on new challenges and meeting new people.  During the two-week residential programme, the young people get the opportunity to take part in a range of outdoor activities as well as making a difference in their local community. 

Full training around the programme and safeguarding will be given upon acceptance for the role.
