EMPOWER LGBT+ LEAD
Sheffield United Community Foundation are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly organised, and dedicated person to the role of Empower LGBT+ Lead. The applicant will be the lead deliverer of physical activity to LGBT people aged 11-25 and will deliver educational workshops to a wider audience about the subject of LGBT inclusivity.
High Level Summary:
Term: Fixed term until 31st August 2023
Salary: £18,000 per annum
Start Date: October 2022

About the Role:
Our vision is for our LGBT+ community to be more active and feel stronger and more confident in their ability to succeed in sport and physical activity, to eliminate LGBT+ discrimination and help LGBT+ people feel they belong within the Sheffield Community.
Our mission is to provide positive safe spaces, free of discrimination which enable people from our LGBT+ community to be regularly active and to provide opportunities to develop their skills and confidence in sport and physical activity. We want to provide training and raise awareness of how the language currently used in everyday life can negatively affect our LGBT+ community and create a more empowered and inclusive community for everyone to participate in sport and physical activity. We also want to amplify LGBT+ voices in sport and share best practice within our industry.

Sheffield United Community Foundation is the official registered charity of Sheffield United Football Club, working in the areas of Sports Participation, Education & Training, Health & Wellbeing and Community Cohesion.
