This brand new course will enhance lifelong opportunities for the students of Sheffield who have a keen interest in developing a career in 3 key industries: Sports, Business and Media, with roles such as: Social Media Manager, Teaching, Business development, Events Management and many more!

Students will have the opportunity to represent Blades Esports team in the British Esports Championship as part of their enrichment. They will come together as a team to compete in games such as Rocket League, FIFA and Valorant.

Our track record of delivering a successful BTEC Sport programme will compliment the new Esports course and allow the department to educate the Esports students on remaining both physically and mentally healthy in order to be successful in the Esports industry, as well as providing students with real vocational experiences to supplement their studies.

This is just the beginning of something special and forward thinking within the City and we are extremely pleased to be working alongside Lava Esports who will be providing a fantastic central location that our students can call home. We have also made the commitment to build our very own Esports Arena within the next 12 months.
