The Blades Inspired programme has been created by the Sheffield United Community Foundation to provide more opportunities for those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities across Sheffield. The primary focus is to inspire, educate and impact more individuals across the spectrum through PE/Football sessions. Our target interventions during these sessions ensure that these sessions are adapted and catered for the needs of these individuals so they can fulfil their potential.
Through these sessions within Schools, we aspire to improve the confidence, social and fundamental skills of these individuals. It is hugely important that these individual’s wellbeing is looked after as they could face difficulties day to day or perceive themselves as different whilst growing up.
Designed to complement and reinforce existing PE programmes within your school. Its aim is to help children attain their curriculum targets through Physical Literacy; developing confidence, physical competence, personal skills, team work and building self-esteem. This initiative provides children with the foundations for lifelong participation in physical activity.
